Book Review: Blainey

Blianey: Short History of Christianity
While the work is well written, and on occassions demonstrates some unusual insights, clearly the less than rigorous account of the life and death of the founding philosopher id detrimental to to overall success of the work.

Gray: Zappa
Depite Uncle Frank's reputataion for radical musicial composition and performance, the book shows him as a relatively uninteresting personality bouncing between the extremes of high art and gutter trash.
Of most interest to this blog is the reported consultation with Dylan (circa ?) in preparing the what would eventually be released as Infidels, an album which Gray (at this point) considers minor.

Wikis - An Assessment.
Certainly the well-known and widely used (if not universally praised) Wikipedia has created a highly useful online resource.

While there is is no doubt value to be had from institutions adopting this technology for in-house consultation, its success maybe somewhat mitigated by the varying levels of techological sophistication by the staff contributors.

Delicious

A quick search of  Delicious for twotopics of personal interest found some amazing information to my immediate advantage.
This site would probably warrant furtner investigation..
I eagerly await the deep and meaningful consultation with my learned my fellow students.

LibraryThing

LibraryThing

A quick search of  Library Thing for three topics of personal interest found nothing to my immediate advantage.
I do not consider useful,
I would not use it.
However, after deep and meaningful consultation with my learned my fellow students, the consenus may indicate that Library Thing is a resource that libraries should consider.
