Podcasts

Podcasts are usually MP3, ocassionally alternate audio files, accessableby a RSS feed.
The range of subject matter is extrodinary and ranges from music to political broadcasts.

For librarians, podcasts are a positve attempt to redress client difficulties, in partcular distance and poor eyesight.
Furthermore, with the wide-spread adoption of wi-fi, these files are highly moblie.

It is important for librarians to make their clientel aware of these resources, perhaps via the use of the library blog or a dedicated page on the library's web site.
